Coronavirus, the computer scam: trap created by hackers, here are the files you need to avoid.

07.02.2020

As if the problems and apprehension generated by the coronavirus were not enough, hackers are now too. While the Oms has declared a global emergency, the epidemic is likely to become an IT threat as well. The alarm was raised by Kaspersky, the well-known computer security company that invited everyone to pay particular attention to the guides, videos or textual ones, circulating on the net with the tempting promise of having all the useful tips to protect themselves from the coronavirus. It is a pity that this is not the case at all, in fact by downloading these files there is the risk of installing malicious programs that are capable of eliminating, modifying or blocking users' personal data. In some cases the functioning of PCs or networks can even be compromised, for this reason Kaspersky invites to be very careful to avoid falling into fraudulent attempts by hackers. At the moment the phenomenon still seems quite limited, but cyber threats are likely to increase given that by now the coronavirus does not concern only China but the whole world.
